Dan apprenticed as a typesetter in the 1980's. After finishing his Bachelor's Degree at The Ohio State University in 1990 he rejoined the company as supervisor of graphic design. Since 1992, Dan has served as Prepress supervisor. He is constantly installing and upgrading Truax Printing's hardware and software to keep up the with fast pace of technological change. For example, in 2007 under Dan's direction, Truax Printing installed a high-end Computer to Plate imaging system known as TrueFlow.
